At this year’s Health Ingredients Europe event in Frankfurt, Germany, Lallemand Health Solutions,Montreal, Canada, was honored as the NuW Excellence Awards winner with its product Probio’Stick in the Health, Immunity & Digestion Innovation of the Year Category. Chairman of the NuW judges, and president of the Healthy Marketing Team, Peter Wennstrom commented, “By recognizing Lallemand for Probio’Stick we are awarding a company that have the ‘guts’ to try a new position for probiotics in the light of the current regulatory regulation. They are developing the area of physical and psychological stress and the gut/brain relation, with clear innovative steps.”
In the Sustainability & Environmental Initiative of the Year category, Naturex, Avignon, France, was a finalist for its efforts to support communities in the areas where they source raw materials. The Naturex Foundation – Jacques Dikansky partners with non-profits to support education, medicineand basic necessities in communities from which Naturex derives plant materials, outside of any economic interest.
